Pizitz Class 2- Final Payment
Hello everyone!! If you are receiving this email it means you registered your child for the Pizitz Swing Dance- Class 2 by paying the deposit back in the Spring to hold their spot!
We are so excited about your child being signed up for OTM Swing Dancing this Fall! My husband and I have been teaching Swing Dance classes in the Over the Mountain area for 13 years now they are so much fun! Our heart and prayer behind these classes is that your child will leave having had a great experience and that they will learn a little more about how to interact in social settings in polite and kind ways! And of course, that they will learn this fun style of dance so they can participate at school dances or parties while still making good decisions and glorifying the Lord with their actions! :)
At this class there are no "date like" situations! We put all the boys in a big circle and randomly pair the girls off with them to begin the class. The girls rotate to a new partner every 1-3 minutes during instruction. By the end of the two days of swing class they will have danced with every boy several times! This helps to avoid awkward situations and keep them moving and engaged! My husband and I both have degrees in secondary education and we watch these students carefully while they are in our care! We are not afraid of a big group as classroom management has never been a struggle for either of us or at all during these classes! The students stay moving and engaged the whole time which makes for a fun environment for everyone!
This class will be held at Mountain Brook Junior High in their gym! You will drop your child off at the door that says "Spartan Gates" and we will be there to greet them and take them to the gym! *my husband works there which is why we have access to rent their space for these classes, in case you were wondering :)
The dates and times for this class are as followed:
Friday September 11 7:00-9:00 drop off time begins at 6:55
Saturday September 12 4:00-6:00 *drop off time begins at 3:55
*DO NOT let your child out of the car before drop off time. We will not be there prior to this time and they cannot be there alone.
Parents are invited to come watch what their child has learned on Saturday at 5:30. Doors will remained closed until this time. We will then open the doors for you to all come in at the same time! :) Please come and take pictures and videos! It makes for the cutest memories!
Attire: Friday they can wear anything comfy! Gym clothes and t shirts are fine! Whatever they wore to school works! On Saturday we ask they dress up a little more. Boys: pants and shirt with a collar and tennis shoes (nice shorts are fine too- anything they would wear to church- just look put together) Girls: please wear a skirt or dress or nice pants (no jeans) with comfy shoes. NO crop tops allowed (they show their whole belly/upper undergarments when they start dancing) NO strapless tops or dresses. NO heels (we suggest flats or comfy sneakers)
***PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE have your daughter raise their arms in the air and twirl fast to make they will still be fully covered when dancing. If dresses/skirts are too short or too flowy we see their full behind when they dance and parents will be videoing at the parent show and will unintentionally capture your daughter not fully covered if we aren't careful.
The balance of $75 for this class is now due. Please complete the form on this website then click the small cart button to checkout which will take you to the payment page. If you have done it correctly you will receive a confirmation email!
